A Message from Matthew

Since I launched this effort just over a month ago, I have been extremely encouraged by the response that I have received from the residents of Virginia’s 8th District as well as many others across the country.  I have heard from many Virginians who are tired of a Congress that is borrowing and spending as if there is no tomorrow, who are concerned about the proposed government takeover of the health care system, and who are opposed to the job-killing, cap-and-trade energy tax. The Corruption of Congressman Moran Continues

Several weeks ago, I introduced the Conservative blogosphere to Matthew Berry, a Conservative Republican who is seeking the Republican nomination, to challenge Congressman Jim Moran (D – Virginia’s eighth congressional district) in the general election next November. Well, with the campaign up and running, Berry has released an interesting study about Moran receiving 80,000 dollars from companies or individuals associated with companies that have received pork barrel funding, due to Moran’s efforts in Congress.

Jim Moran Should Return over $80,000 in Tainted Campaign Contributions

I have released a study detailing how Jim Moran has received over $80,000 this year in campaign contributions from executives, PACs, and lobbyists of companies for which he requested earmarks totaling over $50 million.  Such donations represent over twenty percent of the money raised this year by Congressman Moran.
