Earmarks for Donations in No. Va.

Over at Old Dominion Watchdog, Paige Winfield is reporting that long-time Northern Virginia Dem representative Jim Moran may become the poster boy for the kind of lawmaker Americans are getting fed up with. Matthew Berry, one of three GOP foes in this year’s race, charges Moran “has received over $80,000 this year in campaign contributions from executives, PACs, and lobbyists of companies for which he has requested earmarks totaling over $50 million. Such donations represent over 20 percent of the money raised this year by Moran.” Winfield says Berry is right.
