Tomorrow morning, we will activate our 96-Hour Get-Out-the-Vote Program.
To date, our campaign has enjoyed more success than I could have imagined when we launched our effort last November.
* In a Tarrance Group poll of likely General Election voters, we are neck-and-neck with Jim Moran in an informed head-to-head.
* We won the straw poll at the 8th District Convention by more than a 2-1 margin.
* We have raised more money than any Republican challenger to Jim Moran ever has at this point in the election cycle.
All of these accomplishments, however, will be for naught if we do not turn out the vote on Tuesday. I am therefore asking you to assist us with our 96-Hour Get-Out-the-Vote Program.
Although I have been going door-to-door since January, I have noticed in the last week a significant change while canvassing. Awareness of and support for our campaign has increased substantially as voters have received our mailings, spoken to our volunteers over the phone, and heard our radio advertising. Republicans are responding to our specific agenda for putting America back on the right track and are recognizing that our campaign represents the best chance in many election cycles to defeat Jim Moran.
Simply put, it is now our job to turn these supporters out to vote on June 8. We must not be complacent and let our chance to defeat Jim Moran slip away. If you have any time between now and Tuesday to go door-to-door or to make phone calls, please contact Nathan Parsons at nathan@berry2010.com.
